Winlock WA Teacher Married 2 University of Washington BS Chemistry, BS Molecular and Cell Biology, MEd Curriculum and Instruction
I only attended LWHS for the first week of football practice back in 1975. :-)

After that I moved to Bellevue and graduated from Interlake in 1978.  I attended Rose Hill Junior High from 1972 to 1975. I attended the 30 year reunion in 2008, and it was great to renew some old friendships after 30+ years. I had a great time and I am looking forward to the 40th!

I currently live in Winlock (I am sure you all know where that is at...halfway between Vader and Napavine...Exit 63 on I-5...SR 505....) I've been teaching science and math at the same high school since 1985, and enjoy translating my love of learning to my students in my teaching. My wife is an English teacher at the same school. :-) I also have two beautiful children, a daughter who is a senior at the University of Washington and  and a son who is a junior at the University of Washington.

In 2012  I earned my teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate in Plzen, Czech Republic. Since 2013, I have spent my summers in Europe (mostly in theCzech Republic) to teach, travel, and enjoy the world's best beer! My photo shows me enjoying some unfiltered Pilsner Urquell in Plzeƈ, Czech Republic.  Na zdraví!

After I retire in June 2019, my plan is to move to Prague for 10 months to study Czech language and drink beer. I would like to retire there...I just need a visa!

Duvall WA Married 2

Wow, where has 39 years gone.  Kids are grown and on to the next adventure. Retirement for Marty is just around the corner, then we both get to take time for ourselves.  Good thing we still enjoy hanging out together, we've been married for 36 years.

Our son is married to a very nice girl and they are enjoying  their kitty, Lilly.  Great practice for what lies ahead, “sort of”.  Our daughter is a new Pediatric Nurse, in the Cancer Care unit at Children’s.  She has the gift of being able to talk with anyone, especially kids.  Both kids love to hang with us, I guess we did something right.

Our joy, besides the kids, is time spent with family and friends. We love to cook, enjoy wine and making everyone laugh.

Marysville Complex Operations Manager/Investment Banking rbcwm-usa.com Married 2
My husband, Dale, and I live in Marysville, WA with our two children.  We've been married for 28 very awesome years.  He's the best!  Our life is pretty boring.  Work, kids, homework, sports, ya know?  30 years has just flown by..way to fast.  I am so excited to see everyone.  Ran into Greg Stubbs the other day.  He asked about the reunion.  I gave him the website address.  Hopefully, he and his wife Pam will come.  They live in Monroe, so it's not to far!

Dale is a roof truss specialist with BMC West in Everett.  I am the Complex Operations Manager for RBC Wealth Management in downtown Seattle.

Our oldest son, Jake, is 17, and will be a senior this year at Marysville Pilchuck High School.  He is currently studying to become a firefighter, and volunteers as an apprentice with the Lake Stevens Fire District.  In addition, he is a member of the varsity crew team with Everett Rowing Association.  He's traveled to regattas all over the Pacific Northwest and Canada.

Our daughter, Jessica, is 14, and will be a freshman this year at Marysville Pilchuck High School.  She is taking 2nd year Spanish and advanced Math this year.  She wants to study either sports medicine, forensics/criminology or (as of last week) join the FBI (?).  She plans to attend either Oklahoma State or University of Arizona.  (that's cool...we can root for the Okies or Wildcats!)  She currently plays on a traveling softball team, Snohomish County Express-14U, and are the 2008 ASA and NSA Washington State Champions, and 2008 Western National Champions.

Everyone looks great! I’ve been married 30 years this month to my husband and best friend Bob Scheitlin (class of ’77).  We have lived in all four corners of this wonderful country, starting in Hawaii, then California, Massachusetts, Washington State and now Georgia; all courtesy of the United States Navy.  In our travels we have visited all but a couple states in the mid-west and Alaska.  Bob retired from the Navy when the kids were still in High School so we stayed here in Georgia.  Now our son is 27 and our daughter is 24, married and has two kids. Yes, we are grandparents and it is great!  Bob works a ‘civilian’ job now and I’m retired and spoiling those grandchildren and Bob!    In our free time we travel around the country in our RV.

Graham WA Medical Transcription, Hairstyling, kids, husband, family Married 3 Central Washington University
Wow have 30 years ever flown by!  Where do I begin?  I will just update for the past 6 years because these have been the happiest of my life.  Duane hunted me down on Classmates.com in 2002 and we have been together ever since!  (He had great timing since I was just divorced and still pining after him for all those years!) He is truly the love of my life and my soul mate.  I am head over heels in love with my husband and I know the feeling is very mutual!!
My daughter Natalie is in 9th grade, an Honors student and very active in Choir & Band ( plays clarinet, alto saxophone and piano) is an amazing artist and is also in youth group at our church-she is a GREAT teenager-most of the time if we can ignore the drama!! LOL  She wants to go into Forensic Medicine and attend U of W.
Our daughter Stephanie is almost 4 and keeps me feeling very young or very old....depends on the day!  I was told I could not have more children after my daughter Melanie died from cancer at 16 months.  (in 10/99) So, at age 44 I proved all the Doctors wrong (thought I was going thru menopause early) and had Stephanie- six weeks premature-a week AFTER Duane had to deploy to iraq for the second time!!
We bought our house here in Graham while he was still in Iraq in 2005...We LOVE it here-we have just over 1/2 acre on a dead end street with greenbelts in front and behind our property.  Duane has only a 14 minute commute to work with NO TRAFFIC!  I do medical transcription work  and hairstyling part time, as well as candles, take care of the kids, animals and husband full time!  I have my degree, yet am so blessed to be able to make my family #1 and my career not!  I learned the hard way that gone is gone-so I cherish each moment and live each day to the fullest. I Love my husband and children with all my heart-family and our dear friends are what matter most to me.  I am very excited to see everyone!!

Woodinville WA Married 2 Seattle University BA, Business Marketing
It has been eleven months since we started putting this reunion together, and it's only days away, so I figure now would be a good time to update my personal bio.

Cathy & I met at WWU in 1981, love at first sight, really, I'm NOT Kidding!   If you attended WWU during that time you probably remember her, she was the most entertaining food server at Saga, ever .  A vaudevillian act that involved one-liners and songs, etc, etc.    She graduated and started teaching and I transferred to Seattle University to major in Business (I had finally found my passion), and started working the night-shift at Dollar.   We dated for fours years, got married, bought a house, had kids.  Pretty much in the correct order, anyway.

Our oldest, Christopher, who is already famous with his 'Halo-Tricks' website (h3tricks.com, or cmneir.com) is heading to Eastern Washington University this weekend.  I am so excited for him, because I remember how going to college changed my life.  Cathy is just sad.   Right this minute, she is busy making plans to miss him a lot.    Katrina, our youngest and last child, is in 9th grade.  So far this year, she has informed us, she is getting all "A's".    Not bad for 13 days into school.  That certainty beats my record.  But, I tell her "A's" aren't good enough.  It's my new tough-love approach.

We have four cats ... I drive a 4-Runner and Cathy drives a Corolla ...  the last time I bought new socks was in 1997 ... we live in Woodinville, but we used to live in Kirkland ... I have never lived more than 100 miles away from where I was born ... the only place I can remember vacationing is at Disneyland, but I know I've been to some other amazing places.

Reunions always make me nervous.  Every time I need a little "push" to get me motivated.  The "push" this time was the fear that we might not have a reunion at all.   (Not to sound morose, but someone told me that between the thirty and the fortieth we start to lose quite a few classmates, probably NOT YOU, so don't worry, but I think that makes the thirtieth even more important).  In some ways it seems so strange to "re-group" every ten years,  but after every single reunion, the ten and twenty, I've been so thankful for the opportunity to see everyone again.  Not that everything I did in high school was worth remembering, nor do I remember much anyway, and there are many things I would rather forget.  But, that's the beauty of it.   The embarrassing moments are now funny, and the fun stuff, well, is hilarious.

I'm glad at reunions we get to reminisce about more than just the "school" parts, like going to class.  Because, mostly I remember the fun of being a kid.  Especially in our small town of Kirkland. And, many of you, I remember all the way back to Lakeview.  That would make this our 42nd - Kindergarden reunion, I think.   I can still remember the blocks falling down on us in Kindergarden when we turned the key to start our imaginary car.  And, Mike Owen, I can remember you won the "Big Train" at the end of 1st grade. What the heck did you do with that thing when you got it home, anyway?   wow, so many strange memories are coming back to me!

Lastly, and sadly, the past few months have been especially difficult and reflective.  My mom was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer in March, and passed away at the end of July.  My mom was amazing.  She never lost her sense of humor and was brave till the end.   Life is fragile.   I still cannot believe how suddenly everything can change.

Can't believe I found this site.  So happy to hear about the LWHS class of 1978.  I must say it was a mighty fine class.  It was a nice group of people and I'm so glad to be a part of it.  I did miss all the reunions unfortuately, but hope to be at the next one.  I've been married for 23 years and have 4 kids.  I live in Fairwood,  which is East of Renton.  I worked for about 10 years as a manager for a computer department down in Seattle.  I even got to do some traveling which was fun.  Since then I have been a professional volunteer for  many different orgamizations like Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4-H.  I also taught skiing for Snowsports Northwest on and off for about 30 years.  Now I'm a Washington Virtual Academy learning coach for my daughter.  Its fun to run into fellow classmates from the class of 1978 and I hope to see more of you soon.
