Helena MT Married 3 WWU Education

It's been fun to read over this site (you did a great job on it!) to catch up on people. I've been in Montana the past 16 years. John and I built a log house in the woods outside of Helena. We love it here and are raising 3 great kids: Tom 14, Ben 12 and Matt 8. I'm blessed to be a stay-at-home-mom, although I don't feel like I'm home much between all the activities! I'm sorry to say I can't make it back to Kirkland for the reunion because of other committments. I wish I could. We had a great class, didn't we? My best to you all.

Kirkland Pastor Married 2 UW B.A.
After graduating from the UW and starting my marketing career, it became clear that my passion for helping youth was worth pursuing. I received a post graduate degree in ministry at Moody Bible Institute and spent the next 18 years as a youth pastor.

I currently serve as a Pastor at Westminster Chapel in Bellevue. I work with parents of teens oversee hospital visitations among other things.

I have a lovely wife and two beautiful girls. Our oldest is studying to be a playwright. Our youngest is majoring in fun. (at 10 it seems like a good goal to have.)

Winlock WA Teacher Married 2 University of Washington BS Chemistry, BS Molecular and Cell Biology, MEd Curriculum and Instruction
I only attended LWHS for the first week of football practice back in 1975. :-)

After that I moved to Bellevue and graduated from Interlake in 1978.  I attended Rose Hill Junior High from 1972 to 1975. I attended the 30 year reunion in 2008, and it was great to renew some old friendships after 30+ years.

I still live in Winlock (I am sure you all know where that is at...halfway between Vader and Napavine...Exit 63 on I-5...SR 505....) I've been teaching science and math at the same high school since 1985, and enjoy translating my love of learning to my students in my teaching. My wife is an English teacher at the same school. :-) I also have two beautiful children, a daughter who is a senior at the University of Washington and  and a son who is a junior at the University of Washington.

In 2012 I earned my teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate in Plzen, Czech Republic. Since 2013, I have spent my summers in Europe (mostly in the Czech Republic) to teach, travel, and enjoy the world's best beer! My photo shows me enjoying some unfiltered Pilsner Urquell in Plzeň, Czech Republic.  Na zdraví!

After I "separate from service" in June 2019, my plan is to move to Prague for 10 months to study Czech language and drink beer. I would like to retire there...I just need a visa!

Unfortunately, I will not be attending the 40th, as my real alma mater (Interlake) is having our reunion the same day in Woodinville. Oh well...there's always the 50th! I'll check back for photos after the reunion. :-)

White Rock BC Retired RPN Married 1
Wow, I can't believe it's forty one years since I completed my high school credits in July 1977.  That August I moved to England initially for a 4 month holiday, and stayed 9 years! I returned to my parental roots living just outside of Manchester and trained as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse. Enjoyed my work (most of the time) difficult at times, sad and it always helped to have a sense of humour. The last 3 years I was in England I worked at a 400 bed psychiatric hospital as a Sister (manager), it was never boring! In 1986 I returned to my native Canada, settling in Toronto near my eldest brother. Best thing about Toronto I met my wonderful husband John, we married in 1988 and then had our son. In 1994 we moved to British Columbia, where I was born in Victoria and John had been stationed there  in the Navy. We eventually settled in the seaside community of White Rock. John continued his career in banking and me in nursing. Adopted 2 cats, Lucy and Ricky which added more joy to our family. We are proud parents to our 29 year old son who is studying at the Univ. of Michigan. He is a PhD candidate, working on his 2nd LLM and continues to work part time/long distance as a lawyer for a Vancouver law firm. Would love to say he takes after me, but he's more like my husband. John and I both retired in 2016. It's funny we seem to be busier now than ever....We're planning to downsize and move to Victoria in 2019. I look forward to seeing everyone in September, having a good giggle and sharing a few memories. Send Marie a MessageSend Marie a Message

Woodinville WA Commercial Real Estate Married 2 Seattle Pacific University Secondary Music Education
Have spent most of my career in the corporate real estate world, but still manage to stay involved in music as a rank amateur claiming to be a guitar player who sings a bit now and then.

My 2 daughters have flown the coop with one of them having provided my wife (Dana) and I a granddaughter. To spend more time with said grandchild, we have a house in Pullman so that we're not on top of Mom and Dad when we spend 4-6 weeks in town (it's good to have a job that affords me the luxury of working remotely).

Lately I've been thinking about what retiring will look like and when I might try to pull off this magic trick. Until that time comes, I do data center site selection for Facebook; a really great job regardless of what you might think about the company right now. Hint: outside of agreed on facts, don't believe too much of what you read, especially when it comes to intent. That goes for all media reports regardless of subject and your political ideology.

I'm looking forward to catching up with my old classmates (not referring to age here, only of time past) and what we're involved in these days.

See you in September!

Seattle WA CFO, Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County Single 2 Washington State University BA - Business Administration
I've lived in the Belltown area of Seattle for almost nine years now, and love it!  (Once I became an empty-nester, defined by when my youngest moved her bed out, I ditched the "burbs" for city life.)  Located between Seattle Center and the waterfront, there is so much within walking distance, and Uber is my friend when I don't feel like walking.

My daughters will be 32 and 29 at the time of our reunion.  Sarah graduated from UW with a degree in Finance & Marketing.  She went on to get her CPA, and currently works as senior accounting manager at one of our major cell phone providers.  She and her husband have a one-year-old son which, of course, makes me a grandmother!  Rachel graduated from Western, also with a degree in Finance & Marketing.  She went the marketing route, and currently works as sales operations manager at a manufacturing company.  Both are local, which makes me a happy mama!

I look forward to seeing you all in September!

Woodinville WA Married 2 Seattle University
From swimming with the dolphins in the Mediterranean Sea, to rock climbing ancient cliffs in the French Alps, I have absolutely never done any of that.  But what I have done is much more impressive:  A great family, friends, and career.  In fact, not to brag, but through my profession I have sold more cars than Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi ever did during their entire lifetimes!! Does that make me more accomplished than those two? In one very specific way, yes!

So many, many things to be thankful for. Yet, the most precious things in life are usually not “things”. I’m proud that both of my kids graduated from college and turned out to be “good people”. Katrina (Gonzaga) now an Elementary Teacher; and Christopher (Eastern), is a Digital Media Specialist. I’m glad I was able to play soccer for decades with two of brothers, Tom and Paul. Only hanging up the cleats at age 56 after my front teeth got knocked out for a third time. Happy that I met Cathy, my BFF of 37 years. But most of all, I am grateful that I went to high school before Facebook, Find My Phone, and the NSA.

Cheers to our 40th! I look forward to seeing everyone again in September!

Oaxaca NOT IN US OR CANADA Linguist Translator Married 4 Wheaton College BA
After highschool I went to UW for one year and then transferred to Wheaton College in IL where I met my husband Dan.  We have lived in Mexico for about 35 years now serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators and the Summer Institute of Lingustics.  Our goal was to go to a language group where their language was not written and help the people develop the written language, produce literacy materials, do linguistic studies and translate God's word into their language.  It has been a wonderful adventure.  We worked with two Mazatec language groups in the mountains of southern Mexico.  New Testaments were presented in both languages in 2013. God is using his word to transform lives.  We have 4 grown children who are now all married and 5 adorable grandchildren.  We haven't spent much time in Kirkland in the last 40 years (except to visit family and friends every few years) and we have missed out on being part of the northwest community but wouldn't trade this interesting life we have lived for anything.    Send Peggy a MessageSend Peggy a Message

Graham WA Medical Transcription, Hairstyling, kids, husband, family Married 3 Central Washington University
Wow have 30 years ever flown by!  Where do I begin?  I will just update for the past 6 years because these have been the happiest of my life.  Duane hunted me down on Classmates.com in 2002 and we have been together ever since!  (He had great timing since I was just divorced and still pining after him for all those years!) He is truly the love of my life and my soul mate.  I am head over heels in love with my husband and I know the feeling is very mutual!!
My daughter Natalie is in 9th grade, an Honors student and very active in Choir & Band ( plays clarinet, alto saxophone and piano) is an amazing artist and is also in youth group at our church-she is a GREAT teenager-most of the time if we can ignore the drama!! LOL  She wants to go into Forensic Medicine and attend U of W.
Our daughter Stephanie is almost 4 and keeps me feeling very young or very old....depends on the day!  I was told I could not have more children after my daughter Melanie died from cancer at 16 months.  (in 10/99) So, at age 44 I proved all the Doctors wrong (thought I was going thru menopause early) and had Stephanie- six weeks premature-a week AFTER Duane had to deploy to iraq for the second time!!
We bought our house here in Graham while he was still in Iraq in 2005...We LOVE it here-we have just over 1/2 acre on a dead end street with greenbelts in front and behind our property.  Duane has only a 14 minute commute to work with NO TRAFFIC!  I do medical transcription work  and hairstyling part time, as well as candles, take care of the kids, animals and husband full time!  I have my degree, yet am so blessed to be able to make my family #1 and my career not!  I learned the hard way that gone is gone-so I cherish each moment and live each day to the fullest. I Love my husband and children with all my heart-family and our dear friends are what matter most to me.  I am very excited to see everyone!!

Everyone looks great! I’ve been married 30 years this month to my husband and best friend Bob Scheitlin (class of ’77).  We have lived in all four corners of this wonderful country, starting in Hawaii, then California, Massachusetts, Washington State and now Georgia; all courtesy of the United States Navy.  In our travels we have visited all but a couple states in the mid-west and Alaska.  Bob retired from the Navy when the kids were still in High School so we stayed here in Georgia.  Now our son is 27 and our daughter is 24, married and has two kids. Yes, we are grandparents and it is great!  Bob works a ‘civilian’ job now and I’m retired and spoiling those grandchildren and Bob!    In our free time we travel around the country in our RV.

Marysville Complex Operations Manager/Investment Banking rbcwm-usa.com Married 2
My husband, Dale, and I live in Marysville, WA with our two children.  We've been married for 28 very awesome years.  He's the best!  Our life is pretty boring.  Work, kids, homework, sports, ya know?  30 years has just flown by..way to fast.  I am so excited to see everyone.  Ran into Greg Stubbs the other day.  He asked about the reunion.  I gave him the website address.  Hopefully, he and his wife Pam will come.  They live in Monroe, so it's not to far!

Dale is a roof truss specialist with BMC West in Everett.  I am the Complex Operations Manager for RBC Wealth Management in downtown Seattle.

Our oldest son, Jake, is 17, and will be a senior this year at Marysville Pilchuck High School.  He is currently studying to become a firefighter, and volunteers as an apprentice with the Lake Stevens Fire District.  In addition, he is a member of the varsity crew team with Everett Rowing Association.  He's traveled to regattas all over the Pacific Northwest and Canada.

Our daughter, Jessica, is 14, and will be a freshman this year at Marysville Pilchuck High School.  She is taking 2nd year Spanish and advanced Math this year.  She wants to study either sports medicine, forensics/criminology or (as of last week) join the FBI (?).  She plans to attend either Oklahoma State or University of Arizona.  (that's cool...we can root for the Okies or Wildcats!)  She currently plays on a traveling softball team, Snohomish County Express-14U, and are the 2008 ASA and NSA Washington State Champions, and 2008 Western National Champions.
